We are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellowship within the laboratory of Dr Zhao Wang, at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope. The Zhao Wang lab focuses on pathological cardiac remodeling due to cardiac hypertrophy, heart failure, cancer treatment, myocardial infarction, senescence and diabetes. We use approaches that span biomedical disciplines, integrating genetics in lab models, tissue culture, imaging and multi-omics. Our work has yielded exciting insights about the roles of myocardial metabolism, the unfolded protein response, the integrated stress response, translation regulation and adipokines. As a successful candidate, you will:
· Focus on cardiotoxicity under cancer treatment and molecular regulations of cardiac metabolism in response to ischemic heart disease.
· Multidisciplinary techniques will be used, including mouse genetics, iPSC culture and differentiation, molecular biology, and cell biology.
· A Ph.D. or M.D. within life sciences

Pay Rate: $34.00 - $37.55 / hour
