A Postdoctoral Fellow position is opening in the Clinical Science lab of Dr. Arnold Etame located within the Stabile Research Building at the Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, a world-class NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Etame Lab applies an interdisciplinary approach that integrates use of cancer/cell biological methods, drug and CRISPR screens, mouse models, bioinformatics, and imaging tools to study glioblastoma in vitro and in vivo.
This position will focus on understanding and assessing drug response in the tumor microenvironment of GBM, and related detailed mechanisms. Our laboratory is currently funded by grants awarded from National Cancer Institute and National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Has good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Has a strong background in cancer biology, tumor microenvironment, molecular biology, cell culture techniques, mouse models, and microscopy and analysis.
- Must be comfortable working with murine experiments, with a few years’ experience of handling mice preferred.
- Must possess good problem-solving and organizational skills, be self-driven and enthusiastic, and should also demonstrate the ability to conduct experiments independently and under supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently and has a strong desire to develop independent projects.
- Design and execute experiments; analyze data.
- Communicating with PI and team members on research progress.
- Regularly present findings to the lab and to the Moffitt community and attend conferences to disseminate research findings in preparation for publication.
Credentials and Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in molecular biology, cancer biology or related field is required.
- Should have at least one first Author publication.
