University of Leeds

Job Description

Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have an established background in brain cancer biology and glioma preclinical modelling? Do you want to further your career in one of the UKs leading research intensive Universities?

Glioma is a brain cancer of unmet need, with little progress made in the past 30 years, and despite current ‘gold standard’ therapy, overall survival remains dismal (12-15 months). Our group has established a preclinical mouse model that enables the investigation of local therapeutic delivery systems and its effect on post-surgical residual brain cancer cells. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in preclinical modelling of solid tumours, in particular brain cancer, local therapeutic delivery and phenotypic analysis.
