Job Description


A postdoctoral associate position is available for an exceptional candidate to join a research team specializing in biophysical analysis of intrinsically disordered proteins. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking on highly interdisciplinary projects that include the use of state-of-the-art technology to biophysically characterize proteins at the ensemble and single-molecule level. The postdoc must be able to analyze data from methods such as circular dichroism, fluorescence spectroscopy, single-molecule FRET, FCS, FCCS and FLIM. 


Job Duties

  • Searches and evaluates scientific literature in support of research projects.
  • Co-authors scientific papers.
  • Interacts with team members to make important contributions on big problems while ensuring a high standard of scientific rigor.
  • Manages and maintains equipment within the lab.
  • Assists the PI with student mentoring

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly motivated, efficient, and must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Background in biophysics and biochemistry.
  • Familiar with spreadsheet and data analysis/graphing software such as Microsoft Excel and Origin.
