Job Description

Summary

The Pediatrics (Neurology) Department at Duncan Neurological Research Institute (DNRI) is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate. This Postdoctoral position is sought for a postdoc with demonstrated experience in mass spectrometry with specific knowledge of imaging mass spectrometry. The candidate is expected to continue our work on gene dosage-dependent disorders and neurogenesis using brain organoid and mouse models. Evidence of collaborative and team work is essential. Knowledge of metabolism and molecular biology is essential. The candidate will also be expected to participate in research grant preparation, manuscript writing and presentation of research results at professional conferences. Job Duties

  • LC and GC-mass spectrometry methods and techniques.
  • Imaging mass spectrometry sample preparation, data collection, and analyses.
  • Omics platforms, including metabolomics, and multivariate analyses of the data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly motivated with a proven record of research accomplishments.
  • Expertise in working with mass spectrometry, and a strong background in metabolism and biochemistry.
  • Experience with human biofluid samples.
