Job Description
An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is immediately available at the T.E. Starzl Transplantation Institute (Univ. of Pittsburgh, PA, USA) to work in the field of extracellular vesicles and the regulation of the immune response during pregnancy. This a collaborative project between the laboratories of Dr. Adrian Morelli (T.E. Starzl Transplantation Institute) and Dr. Yoel Sadovsky (Magee-Womens Research Institute within the Univ. of Pittsburgh).
Qualifications or Expectations:
- Relevant knowledge and skills include knowledge in the biology of extracellular vesicles, basic immunology, cell and molecular biology, and experience in cell culture and biologic imaging, and with computer abilities
- The projects will investigate mechanisms of cell-to-cell communication through extracellular vesicles in the context of feto-maternal and transplant tolerance
- We seek a qualified applicant with a PhD or MD/PhD degree in a biomedical field with 0-2 years of post-doctoral experience, preferably in the field of extracellular vesicles
