The Donczew lab seeks a motivated individual for a staff scientist role. Incumbents at this level plan, design and conduct research experiments; prepare reports and papers for publication; assist with grant writing; oversee and/or manage a research project(s); provide guidance and oversight for the less senior lab personnel.
- Conducts scientific research in line with goals and vision of the lab
- Assists with grant writing and preparing reports and papers for publications.
- Oversees and/or manages a research project(s)
- Provides guidance and training for the less senior lab personnel
- Present scientific/technical information both formally and informally, as appropriate
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of scientific theory and research; demonstrates skill in formulating and testing hypotheses; ability to conduct scientific research experiments; to analyze and summarize data and results; to write technical, scientific papers; to write grants and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to mentor students and guide/direct the work of less senior scientists
Ph.D. in Molecular biology, biochemistry, cellular biology, or other relevant area, M.D., or equivalentMinimum 2years of postdoctoral experienceEvidence of productivity and creativityAbility to pursue scientific goals both independently and in a highly collaborative environmentProficiency in a broad range of molecular biology and biochemical approachesOMRF has mandated the COVID-19 vaccine for all employees, excluding those with an approved medical or religious accommodation, as a condition of employment.
