Job Description

We seek an enthusiastic and outstanding postdoctoral researcher to join the Sanchez-Lopez Lab in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at University of California San Diego. Our group investigates how the interplay between metabolism and signal transduction influences immune cell function in pathological settings. We approach that from multiple perspectives using a combination of molecular and biochemical techniques, functional assays, genomics, proteomics and metabolomics studies, and immunological analysis, in culture cells, genetically engineered mice and human samples.

We are looking to recruit independent, passionate, and highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with strong previous research experience in innate immunity, inflammation, or bacterial infection. Initial research goals will focus on emerging projects centered on the understanding of the crosstalk between metabolic adaptation and signal transduction in activated immune cells during both joint inflammation (osteoarthritis) and bacteria biofilm formation.
