Job DescriptionA Postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Breast Medical Oncology, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, United States. This position reports to Dr. Naoto T. Ueno.
My lab is conducting basic and translational breast cancer research to understand the aggressiveness of breast cancers by studying oncogenic signaling pathways, cancer stem cells, and the impact of the microenvironment (inflammation and immunological effect). Over the past 15 years, my lab has developed research projects in EGFR, MAPK, JNK, and TIG1 to target triple-negative breast cancer, inflammatory breast cancer, metastasis, and cancer stem cells. Recently, my research is extended to the tumor immune microenvironment.
My research goal is developing molecular therapeutics for breast cancer by hypothesis-driven translational research and contributing to the successful completion of clinical research, thereby reducing breast cancer mortality. Our lab is interested in generating next generation of leaders in breast cancer research through research, mentorship, and leadership training.
We seek highly motivated post-doctoral research fellows with strong research capabilities. Prior experience in cancer biology and immunology is highly desirable. In addition, the candidate must be self-driven, ethical, and a team player.
Eligibility Requirements: PhD, PhD/MD; extensive wet bench experience related to basic molecular biology, cancer biology, immunology techniques, and mouse xenograft models.
