Job Description


A postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Rama Kommagani's lab at Baylor College of Medicine. The candidate will join a dynamic team to focus on gut microbiome and immune dysfunction in gynecological diseases.

Job Duties

  • Participates in research projects and work with other members of laboratory.
  • Designs and conducts experiments in areas of microbiome and endometriosis.
  • Presents research findings at interdepartmental meetings and national conferences.
  • Contributes to research proposals and grant applications.
  • Records accurate research findings in a detailed up-to-date laboratory notebook.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. with minimum 3 years of postdoctoral training and relevant experience in gynecological pathology research.
  • Candidates with a clear interest in microbiome and inflammation research are strongly preferred. 
  • Candidates with a strong background in cell and molecular biology, and experience with handling and using rodent models are encouraged apply.
