Job Description


The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow who will work in an apprenticeship mode under Dr. Chadi Calarge in preparation for a career as a scientific/medical professional in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Job Duties

  • Acquires necessary skills to carry out brain imaging analyses for structural and functional imaging. 
  • Acquires necessary skills to carry out analyses for physical activity monitoring.
  • Acquires necessary skills to carry out analyses for electrophysiological data.
  • Assists with clinical assessment.
  • Administers neuropsychological tasks and symptoms rating scales.
  • Writes manuscripts to report on research findings and to pursue opportunities to present local and national scientific meetings.
  • Completes data collections for research visits.
  • Follows up on regulatory matters including pursing any actions to ensure participants safety.
  • Consents participants for research studies.
  • Shares relevant information with participants primary providers.
  • Follows up on laboratory tests obtained in the context of the study.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD).
