Job Description

Summary

We are looking to hire a Postdoctoral Fellow who has a background in chemical biology and C. elegans genetics. The candidate will lead a project to characterize the signaling mechanism by which lipid signals promote longevity using the approaches of chemical proteomics and C. elegans functional genetics.

Job Purpose

Postdoctoral research fellows are trainees working in an apprenticeship mode in preparation for a career as a scientific professional.

Job Duties

  • Conduct bench work related to the project.
  • Supervise graduate students and rotation students on research projects.
  • Write manuscript based on discoveries from the project.
  • Assist with grant applications related to the project.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education Required: Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • Experience Required: None Required.
  • Certification/Licenses/Registration: None Required.
