Summary

The lab of Dr. Pawel Stankiewicz is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to work on an NIH-funded project focused on studying the molecular bases of lung development in humans.  We invite you to learn more about our research.

 

Postdoctoral Associate project will be focused on peptides and proteins. Responsible for preparation and analyses of the mass spectrometry experiments to identify the proteins mediating the interactions between the lung specific enhancer and promoter of FOXF1 and FENDRR, which is one of the aim in the FOXF1 grant.

Job Duties

  • Design and conduct logical scientific experiments, perform data analysis, show competency in troubleshooting, present results to the research group in weekly meetings.
  • Summarize research findings in scientific manuscripts to be published in research or clinical journals, prepare project reports, grant proposals, and abstracts.
  • Collaborate with the bioinformatics and functional genomics team in the lab.
  • May establish new research protocols and procedures.
  • May be responsible for laboratory operations.
  • May supervise research staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.
