Job Description
The Aiden lab's work has been featured on the cover of Nature, Science and Cell and has included seminal advances in a diverse array of fields spanning molecular biology, biophysics, linguistics, computer science, and mathematics. The lab is looking for a computational postdoctoral associate to join our team.
The postdoctoral associate will work on methods to explore the folding of the human genome, including the development of new technologies. An ideal candidate would be capable of navigating the lab's interdisciplinary landscape and would possess a background in mathematics, computer science and microscopy.
- Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
- Evaluates and analyzes data.
- May establish new research protocols and procedures.
- Summarizes research findings and publish results in research journals.
- May be responsible for laboratory operations.
- May supervise research staff.
Education: Ph.D in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
Experience: None required.
Prior familiarity with LAMMPS, molecular dynamics, Monte Carlo simulations, and computational polymer physics preferred. Experience with wet lab biology is preferred.
