Job Description
Argonne National Laboratory is currently seeking a candidate to assist the Building Manager with daily operations for the Theory and Computing Sciences (TCS) Building 240. In this role you can expect to:
- Creating work orders and facilitating office tenant troubleshooting at the direction of the Building Manager.
- Oversee the daily activities and usage of the TCS Conference Center, including set up and day-of support.
- Assist with employee and contractor onboarding and offboarding support: ordering keys, providing off-hours building access, phone setup, collection of property and other duties as assigned.
- Support the CELS directorate as an ISAAC role administrator and Divisional Property Representative.
- May interact as needed with Building Manager and ES&H/QA to ensure the coordination of safety and quality assurance policies and procedures are implemented throughout the building.
Position Requirements
Required Skills:
Knowledge of building systems, engineering principles, and construction practice.
Strong ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels.
Strong ability to provide safe, effective, and compliant building operations.
Knowledgeable of database management, spreadsheets, and word-processing applications.
Interpersonal and communication skills are required to interact effectively, tactfully, and discreetly with all internal/external contacts and to develop effective working relationships.
Strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to prioritize, organize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, while being detail-oriented and using sound independent judgment to accomplish tasks.

Preferred Skills:
Understanding of the various safety hazards unique to labs/data centers, office space, and conference rooms.
Knowledgeable of DOE and ANL policy, procedures, and organization in the areas of ES&H/QA, facilities management, procurement, and property management.
The selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate level dependent upon depth and breadth of relevant knowledge and skills brought to the position, as well as the amount of relevant experience. The requirements of the various levels are as follows:
PT2: Bachelor's degree + 2 years of experience, or equivalent
PT3: Bachelor's degree + 4 years of experience, or a Master's degree + 2 years of experience, or equivalent
