Job Description

Responsible for the operation and management of complex science buildings.  Single point responsibility for various Argonne Mission Support services: building access and infrastructure issues, engineering, project management, Rapid Response, sustainability, parking lots and grounds, custodial oversight, coordinating moves of materials and building exit inspections.  Accountable for coordinating shutdown of building systems to minimize negative impact on operations.   Coordination with HSE and some implementation of various facility safety responsibilities.

Position Requirements

  • Knowledge of building systems, engineering principles and construction practice
  • Skilled in preparing cost estimates, design specs, problem resolution and managing the installation and/or construction of components and systems.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels
  • BS Degree in architecture, engineering or equivalent of technical expertise in a similar discipline plus ten years of relevant experience or equivalent.
