Job Description


The lab works on the genetic and epigenetic regulation of heart failure. We use diverse omics tools and genetically engineered mouse models. One particular interest is circadian rhythm. Our ultimate goal is to design novel therapeutic strategies for heart failure. We also use the human induced pluripotent stem cell model to study inherited cardiomyopathies in patients. 


The postdoc will be expected to carry out his/her projects independently under the direction of the mentor. He/She should be able to plan and conduct experiments, perform trouble shooting, collect and analyzing data, and prepare manuscripts. 


The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, recent PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics or related field, with a strong interest and experience in cardiovascular biology.

Job Duties

  • Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
  • Evaluates and analyzes data.
  • May establish new research protocols and procedures.
  • Summarizes research findings and publish results in research journals. 
  • May be responsible for laboratory operations.
  • May supervise research staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • Experience Required: None Required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skills that are required: Molecular biology,cell biology and bioinformatics
  • Skills that are desired: experience of working with mice 
  • Skills that will be a plus: experience of working with primary cell culture, stem cell culture
